the way the search site is set up now, websites are set on a ranking, the higher rank websites get on the first page.\ \ is there a way to set up random ranking? in other words every couple of days a different websites get the first page? this way it is random and not ranked?

Not correct, the sites shows on the front page are what you set as featured sites, these featured sites you sell and make money from their placing and these featured sites rotate if you have featured sites more than teh displayed on your page, and you control all this from your admin.
