Enabling gzip compression for output content on your domain can speed website by up to 90% for all contents like html, css, and javascript and any content.

To enable compression for all your website output automatically through the Apache webserver on a cpanel site control panel, do this:

1) - Server administrator Step from WHM

  1.1) - Make sure Apache mod_defalt enabled on your server.

            Via root WHM access at the following menu path: WHM: Main >> Software >> EasyApache (Apache Update)

  1.2) - Enable KeepAlive

            WHM Home » Service Configuration » Apache Configuration » Global Configuration.

            In most cases, I'd recommend the use of Keepalives, but on busier servers I usually have this set at 3 seconds instead of the default 15.

2) - Website administrator Step from cpanel

From Cpanel for the site, go into "Optimize Website" and you can enable page compression from there.

You can manually enable gzip compression in .htaccess with code like this:

Testing compression

To see if gzip compression is working use our gzip compression tool (https://varvy.com/tools/gzip/).

Also consider using the page speed tool (https://varvy.com/pagespeed/)  which will test compression and many other factors.

To display categories icons, you need to pass the param Icons=1 in the gadget code in the templates or widgets that have the call to the category gadget, for example:

You need to login to your Facebook account and create a new application.

Currently the link on Facebook is https://developers.facebook.com/apps

Your new Facebook application will have application id and application secret.

You enter these two values in your Auctionawy/Webawy Account module under the settings tab,

you will find these two fields:

In the App "Setting" set the following:

App Domains:  for example mewsoft.com

Then in the Setting "Advanced" tab set the following:

Replace mewsoft.com in the above examples to your domain name and if you turned on SSL remember

Starting from Auctionawy 2013 and versions named Webawy, the admin center has auto login reset for the admin.

If you ever forgot the admin center login and want to reset it there are two methods to reset the admin login.

Method 1 - Automatic admin login reset

=============================

This method will automatically safely reset your admin login provided you know your domain FTP username and password.

go to your admin url like this:

http://www.mewsoft.com/app/admin

You will see the admin login page. Click on the button "Forgot Login" as shown in the images below.

A new form will display, enter your domain FTP username and password. Note these are your domain FTP login

and not your admin center login.

then click the button submit, if you entered the correct domain ftp login, the program will reset the admin center login.

Method 2 - Edit config.pm manually

==========================

Manually edit the file app/config/Config.pm

Clear the right hand side of the two variables:

WebawyAdminUsername

WebawyAdminPassword

so that these two lines becomes like this:

to edit this file, you can use an FTP software to download and upload the file in ASCII mode then use an text editor

like notepad to edit this text file. If you download or upload the file in Binary mode it will be corrupted and the software will not work.

If you need for any reason to change the bidding values, you can do that by direct editing the software settings in the admin center.

Login to your admin center, click on the "General" module, then click the tab "Setting Editor", then search for these variables:

Overview

QR codes are a popular type of two-dimensional barcode. They are also known as hardlinks or physical world hyperlinks. QR Codes store up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters of arbitrary text. This text can be anything, for example URL, contact information, a telephone number, even a poem! QR codes can be read by an optical device with the appropriate software. Such devices range from dedicated QR code readers to mobile phones.

Syntax

QR code requests support the following URL query parameters after the ? in the root URL:

chl=<data>	Required	The data to encode. Data can be digits (0-9), alphanumeric characters, binary bytes of data, or Kanji. You cannot mix data types within a QR code. The data must be UTF-8 URL-encoded. Note that URLs have a 2K maximum length, so if you want to encode more than 2K bytes (minus the other URL characters), you will have to send your data using POST.

Here are the supported values: L - [Default] Allows recovery of up to 7% data loss M - Allows recovery of up to 15% data loss Q - Allows recovery of up to 25% data loss H - Allows recovery of up to 30% data loss margin - The width of the white border around the data portion of the code. This is in rows, not in pixels. (See below to learn what rows are in a QR code.) The default value is 4.

QR Code Details [Optional Reading]

Here is a little more about how QR codes work; you don't necessarily need to know this to be able to generate a QR code.

QR codes are squares, with an equal number of rows and columns. There are a fixed set of QR code sizes: from 21 to 177 rows/columns, increasing in steps of four. Each configuration is called a version. The more rows/columns, the more data the code can store. Here is a summary of the versions:

• Version 1 has 21 rows and 21 columns, and can encode up to 25 alphanumeric characters
• Version 2 has 25 rows and 25 columns, and can encode up to 47 alphanumeric characters
• Version 3 has 29 rows and 29 columns, and can encode up to 77 alphanumeric characters
• ...
• Version 40 has 177 rows and 177 columns, and can encode up to 4,296 alphanumeric characters

Don't confuse the number of rows and columns with size of the QR code image. The pixel size of the code is determined using chs as usual.

The API will determine which version to use, based on the amount of data you provide.

The appropriate QR code version will be returned depending on the number of characters you provide. For example, if you provide 55 alphanumeric characters, you will get a Version 3 QR code, although this can change if you specify an error correction (EC) level explicitly using the chld parameter.

Before generating your QR code, consider what kind of device is used to read your code: the best QR code readers are able to read Version 40 codes; mobile devices might only be able to read up to Version 4.

The QR code standard is trademarked by Denso Wave, Inc.

The ISO sells the English language specification on their site. The Japanese version is free.

QR code standards are approved as:

• AIM International (Automatic Identification Manufacturers International) standard (ISS - QR Code) in October 1997.
• JEIDA (Japanese Electronic Industry Development Association) standard (JEIDA-55) in March 1998.
• JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) standard (JIS X 0510) in January 1999.
• ISO international standard (ISO/IEC18004) in June 2000.

If you need to set up a wildcard subdomain, that can be done in your hosting cPanel account.

A wildcard DNS record is a record that matches requests for non-existent domain names.

A wildcard DNS record is specified by using the "*" symbol to create a record for *.yourdomain.com.

How to create a Wildcard Subdomain in cPanel

1) - cPanel makes creating a wildcard subdomain quick and easy.  First, log into your cPanel account and click on Subdomains.

2) - Next, in the "subdomain" field just put a *.  The * is often used to signify a wildcard symbol and it does in cPanel as well.

Make sure that the Document Root stays as "public_html".

3) - Then click on "Create."  A confirmation page will appear, click "Go Back" and confirm the subdomain was created.

That is it!  Your account is now set up for wildcard subdomains.  Depending on the reason you've set up the Wildcard

Subdomain, a .htaccess modification may be needed.

This feature makes the software faster by a factor of 5 to 15 times depending on each page actions.

How The FastCGI Works Exactlly

When a user requests a page for the first time, say the home page or any other page of the software, the server creates
a process and runs the software normal at the normal speed then sends the response to the user browser. After that,
the server does not exit the process or finishes the program, it keeps the program running as a process in the background.

Now when a user requests any page again or the same page, the server does not need to create a process and reload
the program again, it has the program already running in a process and waiting for a request to serve, the server just
send the request to the process running in memory and serves the request on the fly. This process is repeated for all
subsequent requests.

If the server does not receive requests for pre set time period, it ends the process in memory to save resources,
these are server settings.

on the type of the server, for apache, it has the apache module mod_fcgid and the Perl module FCGI

the program, this shows you are running under FastFCGI, If the counter keeps always the number 1

it means the Perl modules only installed but the server libs not installed.

Auctionawy 2012 has built in admin feature to reset the admin center login on the same admin login panel page.

If for some reason you forgot one of these, follow these steps to reset your admin login:

1)-download our ResetLoginAuction.cgi, ResetLoginClassified.cgi, ResetLoginForumcgi and ResetLoginSearch.cgi  script from our website to your computer:

3)-set this script permissions to exectuable 755.

4)-you may need to edit this script if required the first line to point to perl on your server, the default will normally

      Boardawy users the Perl module Syntax::Highlight::Engine::Kate as a syntax highlighter which may not be

 installed by default on your hosting company servers and you need it to be installed before posting new topics. 
Of course the easiest way to install it is to ask your hosting company to install it, just ask them to install Perl 
module Syntax::Highlight::Engine::Kate.
 You can also install it locally on your site yourself under the same cgi folder where your installed Boardawy 
say /cgi-bin/forum so the folder will be added as /cgi-bin/forum/Syntax.
You download the module file from cpan:
http://search.cpan.org/dist/Syntax-Highlight-Engine-Kate/
as a .tar.gz file, unzip it on your computer then just upload starting from the folder Syntax and all its subfolder.
I also attached the module files required for installation to this topic below, you can download it to your 
computer, unzip it and upload it all to your cgi-bin/forum folder or where you installed the Boardawy.
