I receive the following error quite often:

Bidding Error:

You have reached the maximum allowed bidding and buying limit per day. For security reasons we limit the number of items every user can buy or bid per day. Current limit is items per day. If you need more help or want to increase your limit, please contact us.

I have not been able to find where this setting can be changed or what the limit is set to.

In your admin->General Options, set these options:
User Maximum Allowed Bids and Buys: Items Per Session
User Bids and Buys Session Time: Minutes
User Maximum Allowed Items To Sell: Items Per Session
User Sell Session Time: Minutes

These options makes your site safe from hackers or spammers from doing some haremless stuff like.

Thank you for the quick response.

I no not have all of those options though? I only have:

-User Maximum Allowed Bids and Buys
-User Maximum Allowed Session Time


Should I have the others?

This feature has been added only the last couple of days after we found someone is posting lots of items on our demo. You do not have to update everything, you will only update the cgi files (*.cgi, *.pm) which will not effect anything in your customizations or settings. You will need to update the Bidding.pm, admin.pm files only.

I updated the files and it did not seem to change anything?

go to your admin and set the limits, it defaults all to Zero.

I set the numbers to 50 items per 90 minutes. Is that an acceptable setting? I still do not have the other fields you were referring to.

That number depends on your site and these options were set to protect your site from hackers only.

As for the other options you can email me and update all the cgi files (*.cgi, *.pm) they will not change anything in your site.
