We released an easy and very safe Migration tool for users already using PHPBB forums to Boardawy Forum Software.\

This tool is only one script Convert.cgi that you install in the same boardawy cgi directory cgi-bin/forum and call it from the browser like the admin.cgi:\

Download the latest version of Boardawy forum software and it is included in the same cgi-bin/forum directory. Download from here:\

You will need to login with the same admin.cgi login. You must install the boardawy forum software and configure it and create the SQL tables before you can use this tool.\
\
Once you call it from the browser you be see a form asking you for your PHPBB forum MySQL database information, it needs these info to connect and grab the data from there to the Boardawy database. Your current PHPBB database and installations will not be touched in anyway, so do not worry about anything.\
\
If you are not happy with the results after you transfer the database or something happens like your internet connection faild or your server disconnected, just empty or delete your Boardawy SQL tables and use the migration tool to transfer the data again.\
\
Due to the fact that PHPBB encrypts the users password, the Migration tool will generate a random passwords for users and will send emails to users with their new login. You may need to edit the letter that will be sent to the users with your own message and links to guide your users.\
\
Edit these lines to your messages in the file:\
\
$Param{Subject},$Param{Message}\
\
The tool also will reformat the messages to be displayed normal in Boardawy.\
