Hi. I wonder if anyone could suggest how to have the buy it now prices, list next to the items on the list page, at the moment all I get is the bids etc.

Also, given that I'm really new at this - could anyone suggest some material I can get to learn how to access the files on my server. At the moment I have no idea how to get in there. All I can see is an auction folder - but it tells me theres nothing there when I try to get in.

Ahmed - if you read this - great program - easy to mod the templates, I know practically nothing and the site is proving highly customizable.

To display the Buy It Now prices on the listing pages, insert the plugin:

In the listing classes.

Many thanks to the both of you.

I've obviously got truckloads of stuff to learn on this. Not the least of which is what a listing class is and where its located.
I'll learn that. I'll also find one of the FTP's to use.

I think this need a little bit modifications for both above replies as it will now will display the buy now image not price, if you want to display then you need to modify the displaymain.pm file,

At line 477 insert code like this:


$Item{Buy_Price} ||= "";
$Form =~ s/<!--BuyPrice-->/$Item{Buy_Price}/g;

Also insert it after line 749

then insert in your listing classes the

<!--BuyPrice-->


Otherwise just wait until next update after the release of the classifieds and I 'll add any plugins you all want in the listings

Hi Wannauseit,

Found the Ipswitch FTP as you suggested - works great - thanx.

Found Displaymain and modified the code - cant find listing classes or Listing_Table_Row_Featured anywhere. the only thing I can find is under auctions/cgi-bin/auction/data/classes/classes.pm and thats almost empty.
Any chance of giving me the path. Even the code maybe?
gsc3@waikato.ac.nz if not, thats cool, I'll learn and get there eventually.

That rocks - pity about the 5 extra digits. Have to find some way of trimming those.

Getting the buy now price on screen was a must for me, to do what I need to with this software.

Has anyone had a problem with the buynow -when you purchase a few items
if there is, say a quantity of 10 on one listing. The email goes to the purchaser saying that they have bought the quantity (say 4) but no email goes to the seller to tell them a portion of their listing has been sold. With mine the only email to the seller from a buy now transaction occurs when all items are sold and the auction ends. ??? my setup ??

Hi. I have not come across that but, I am having a problem with the amount count being updated.

I am also having a problem with some of the pictures not showing up on the homepage featured section. I right clicked on the X's and the directory path to them is http://www.heavenlyauctions.com/upload/http: instead of http://www.heavenlyauctions.com/featured/1100550060.jpg

Anyone else having these problem??
