Cannot Lock database file error Edit Delete Reply with quote Quote

when trying to add additional keywords to a test account i recieve this error:\ \ Cannot Lock database file : \ Line 79, File /home/*******/public_html/cgi-bin/dir/addterms.pm \ \ please advise, thank you

Make sure your data/lock directory is Writeable and delete any files under it.

I chmod the lock folder to 777 and deleted the index file that was there but still get same error when trying to add keywords, Thank you

Apply the above to the directory data/submissions and all its files, must be writables.

i chmod data/submissions and all its files to 777 and still does not work. should i keep these at 777?

For sure you have something wrong with your installation. Try making all the data/* writables 777 and test.

These are the only possibilties if your installation was done correct. May be some files corrupted during your FTP or download.
