How do I change the site logo image that says "Auctions" logo.gif on the main page?

This is very easy. upload your logo image logo.gif to your /auctions/theme/Default folder on your server. Of course for other products the same steps but the name of the base folder changes, that's for classifieds, its is /classifieds/theme/Default, for the search, it is /dirs/theme/Default, for forums, it is /forums/theme/Default. Of course if you want to rename it to another name, edit the filename in the Top_Navigation Class in your admin->Class Editor, you will find the code like this:
