If URL entered for an image and not uploaded the system is not creating thumbnails anywhere. However it does create a thumbnail for the gallery if a different URL entered in the gallery image field. If left empty the URL entered in the image field will not create the thumbnails. It looks like this is an issue concerning the image URL field only, while the gallery image URL field works fine. The thumbnails are created fine if images uploaded to the system. I was going to test it in your demo but it will not let me log in anymore, nor I can create another account. Just wanted to test it to see if this affects only my system and I may have messed something up.
I am finding that when I put a url for an image in the ad and select gallery that a camera icon appears.\

unfortuantely this does not explain why when I uploaded an image that it did not appear in my gallery. \

Also if an external link never appears in the gallery when gallery is selected it can be very confusing to a customer being that it said in the file that they can put a gallery image in by adding the link.
