Check admin -> class editor -> Top area, top navigation

There is nothing called standrad colors, the defafults are just as a demo for you but the whole system is html template driven so you can use anyhtml you want like any static html page.

Yes you can use Flash banners, you use the flash code in the banner html code in the admin when you setup the campaign.
