Is there a way to set a default region or location? I see where a default language can be set but not for default location. I searched the forum and didn't find anything. I can change the order in which the locations are listed but that doesn't set a default location.
I would like it so that when the person comes to the site the person doesn't have to change the location from "all location" to a specific location. I would like the location to automatically default to "United States" and if the person wants to change it or see "All locations" then they have to use the Select Region drop-down.

I changed the setting in the location you mentioned already but it doesn't change the region on the main page. It seems that the Admin->Listing options->default country only sets the default region when a new auction item is being created.
I'm looking to set the default location to US on the main page so that anyone coming to the site (without login in or doing anything) will automatically see in the "select region" area "United States". Right now anyone coming to the site sees "all regions" in the select region area of the main page. The site I'm setting up is 99% geared towards the US so I want everything to default to US unless the user makes an effort to change it.

Never-mind, I found it.
Language Manager -> Edit Language Text / Translate -> Select File: General / Homepage -> Variable 167: location_menu_main -> Set to "United States"
