Characters in search |
|
If someone arrives at my site from an outdated link (item has ended) and they copy the Title then go to Search and paste the title into the field, IF the title had the characters * or ~ in the title (some people like to "dress" their title up), Search returns nothing although the item was relisted and is active on the system with that exact title.\
\
Apparently, characters like those are being removed from the terms before they are passed to the query.\
\
Can you please let me know how to change this?\
\
Thank you! |

Also, titles with " - " (space-space) between words don't return in the search.\
\
An exact copy of a title should return a result of an item on the system shouldn't it? |

See the search "Tips" on how and what you can use for search terms. |

Search methods are standard, the same on Yahoo, Google, etc exactly as listed in the search "Tips". |

Google returns 12 results by using the EXACT title of the listing from my site.\

But, nevermind. |
