MySQL Error
Usually searchawy works fine but it started actting up. No matter if I make a new database and user I still seem to get the error. All my other apps that use the same MySQL user are working fine. I usually use localhost and that works fine but it doesnt now so i tryed my domain and i still keep getting SQL Error: Access denied for user 'db_user'@'domain' (using password: YES)\ Query:\ DBI:mysql:database=my_database;host=easyhosting.ie;port=3306.\ I edited out my info but that what I'm getting. Any Ideas? If its my MySQL would you know how to fix it?\ Thansk again smile

Yes it is your mysql server error. Did you added the user you created to the database. After you created the database and a user, you have to add the user to the database and give the user full privilages.

This is what i get for the dir.cgi\ SQL Error: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client\ Query:\ DBI:mysql:database=db_spoon;host=localhost;port=3306

Now this error message clears the issue, your hosting needs to match their mysql server and clients. Ask them to fix this error. If they do not know how to solve this ask them to search google:

Ok I sent a message to my hosting provider and one of the staff asked me \ mySQL can be version 4.0 or 4.1\ do you know if you need 4.1 ?\ What one does searchawy need?\ \ I currently have MySQL version 4.1.19-standard

All our products are tested upto the latest MySQL version 5.xx.

Ok I've been on to my hosting provider about my MySql problem and I still have it frown They just asked me if upgrading to MySQL 5 would get it to work. They don't want to do it if by upgrade wouldn't change anything and get it to work. So I'm to ask you if you think that would help? smile They seem to have not been able to find a way fix it so far. I sent them the info you gave to me fix the problem.\ Thanks again\ smile

There are trillion webhosting company, why  you are wasting your time with this one. The solution is simple, just switch to a good hosting company.
