Why don’t my auctions auto renew
Even though I select renew 10 or 20 times the auctions don't renew.\ \ Is there something else I should be doing?

Auctions must be processed either manually or auto. See admin->Auctions manager.

Do I just use the unix defaults shownon the AutomateProcessing Auctions page?

As answered above, you either process it  manually:

Process Closed Auctions

or setup it to auto process:

Automate Processing

You can use the defaults

Clear?
