re: ssl & site errors

re-Installed my ssl (well my Host did) and Im getting all kinds of errors now

can you point me in the right direction to fix this?

This is the email  I recieved my my host tech support :

Hi Brien,

You got that error because the requested file auction.cgi was located within ./cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi whereas the system tried to execute it directly from the public_html directory Anyway after copying the file to the correct location another problem appeared:

Software error:

Can't locate Configuration.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /home/mybidco1/public_html/ /home/mybidco1/public_html/lib /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/x86_64-linux /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at auction.cgi line 56.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at auction.cgi line 56.

You will have to speak to the creator of the software to get the best possible support. If it has anything to do with the server, we will be more than glad to help you

Thank you

Re: re: ssl & site errors

Hello,

You do not need to copy any files to other locations, all you need was to configure the ssl settings

in the admin->Configuration  like this:

Use Secure Server:
Secure Server URL:
Secure Server Images URL:

Anyway, I did this for you and I can see the user side links for the Register and My account without problem

usin the https:

https://www.mybidcounts.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?action=Account_Manager_Login&Lang=English

You need to do the same in the other products if you want to use the ssl for them also.

Thanks
