located slightly above the e-news letter subscribe box.
Where can one edit this within the admin panel?

See the Frontpage template.

is not in the template frontpage, even in the demo http://www.mewsoft.com/cgi-bin/dir/editor.cgi?action=Template_Editor the text "Free e-newsletter. Important news. Special offers." is not in the source code, but yet it is displayed on home page.

Where else can it be?

Admin->Language manager, edit language file General.
Why did not you use the search tool in the language manager to find any language variables. just search there in the "Search for variable:" box for subscribe_help variable. |
