Re: Internal Server Error after upgrade

If you uploaded files using FTP manually then make sure you transfered the files in ASCII mode not in Binary mode

Each upgrade has its own instructions, did you read them. Most upgrads also have an upgrade script in the liveupdate

that must be run after you do the files upgrade which do some database or other tasks.

thanks

I said:

"Each upgrade has its own instructions, did you read them. Most upgrads also have an upgrade script in the liveupdate

"

So you must know what version you had then apply the next release upgrade.

Anyway, the easiest way to get up is use an ftp program to upload all code files and folders.

If you do not have customizations done already, just do fresh install and you will have the latest version.

Re: Internal Server Error after upgrade

Yes I read and ran upgrade just as said. this is the site you did the install for me just about

two weeks ago and you said you had trouble installing. you told me you had to manually

upload each file to get to work????

So when I did upgrade because mail program did not work ,, that is whenserver error started.

Re: Internal Server Error after upgrade

Yes your server ftp disconnects every few seconds, so I just used the ftp software to upload every 5 or so files at once, it is hard work

but you insist on such hosting.

If you want to go back to your last install, ask your hosting company to restore your entire site from their last backup

then you can start again apply the upgrades one by one starting from the first upgrade after your installed version.

Re: Internal Server Error after upgrade

had error logs checked, the only thing that they came up with is that index.cgi might not be complete

Re: Internal Server Error after upgrade

After you did fresh install, you need to do the database configuration:

admin->Configuration and set the database info,

then

setup wizard, create sql tables, then

database manager, load backup from text files , to load defaults,

and you are done.

thanks
