Hello I have moved to I hope a better server and have dedicated IP and ssl
Hello I have moved to I hope a better server and have dedicated IP and ssl, they just migrated the files over to the new server but nothing works ??? I have tried to login to admin at corvettetradingpost, nor are any of the files are running and it seems by my look over that they all have the correct permissions ??? There is also a phpinfo file located at the same location as the other server, all login info should be the same... Thanks Tom

They just moved the files, but they did not install and configure the software, you will need to reconfigure the software,

you will need to create a mysql database in the cpanel, configure the software to use that database, create the database tables,

so basically you need fresh new install.

After move site does not work but database and tables are all there
I do not know what I need to configure as all of the data base tables are installed the site was migrated to the new server everything is the same as the old server just a different IP.. Thanks for your time Tom

Hello,

as I said above, they moved only the files but they did not create and configure the mysql database on the new server,

simply because they do not know how is every software works or configured, they are just hosting and move files from old

to the new server.

again you need to do fresh new install on the new server.


*)-you need to create the mysql database in your cpanel, create a mysql user and add it to the database with all privilages.

*)-put the database information in your auction admin->configuration

*)-admin->setup wizard then click on create datbase tables

*)-admin->database manager, then click on load backup from text files


and you are done.
