When registering user in the field Country (required) in en-EN offers a country, and there can be a region, but to change the language for en-required field is no menu. On the cover of the box region in turn gives the selected country. I do not know how important this is for registration when required Country field remains empty and made the registration.

The country menu does not have regions sub menu, you edit/modify and configure counteries in the admin "Country" module.
You set required fields in the "Accounts" module the tab "Registration" ->Account Registration Settings
