Custom classes and priorities |
|
I am interested in writing some custom code for the site to replace a few of it's built in functions.
I want to do this using the "Custom Functions" section.
My question has 2 parts:
1. If I create a custom function, can it have the same name as a pre-existing class or function that is built into NetAuction.
2. If so, which will take presidence? Is there some kind of priority system so that I can replace built in functions with my own?
My goal here is to not edit any of the origional .cgi, .pm, or template files so that it will be more portable between versions, but still be able to replace portions of the origional website. |

First of all, you need to know exactly what you want your code to do, is it for html or design customization or is it coding. If it is coding then you have to go inside and replace the existing code, if it is html customizations then you can do it straight. In both cases, you support yourself, right coding is not supported in anyway because you should know what you are doing and what you know. |
