Beware: Nasty database worm attacking MySQL on Windows |

If you are hosting Netauction on Windows platform and using MySQL . Inform you hosting company "SANS institute recommends blocking port 3306 and ensuring root passwords are secure enough" There is nasty little worm aclled "MySpooler" out there infecting thousands of computers ! Alternatively, you may consider switching to Linux hosting

There were some interesting posts at the bottom of that article about password security also.
I noticed the editor said that this was not a vulnerabilty of MySQL or Windows.
So why was the article about Windows servers and not about all servers?...lol
