This is a major release for the Boardawy. You need to apply this upgrade.
Featuers and Changes in this version
1)-About me pages now added to a SQL table and no longer using the aboutme and aboutme_data folders.
users will have the url for the about me pages like this:
http://www.mewsoft.com/forum/me/username
so users about me pages now becomes dynamically and any changes the use make or the site
admin make will apply immediately to all users about me pages, simply, users about me pages
now are live.
Of course you can offer your users to access their pages by subdomains like:
username.yourdomain.com which will redirect to http://www.yourdomain.com/Boardawy/me/username
2)-The html editor changed from updated to the latest tinymce editor.
3)-Fixed some little bugs.
4)-Released cgi file Upgrade05062011.cgi for this upgrade
How to upgrade
Please it is very important to apply this upgrade carefully.
1)-Please backup your entire site from your cPanel or Plesk or whatever you have and even download
the backup to your local computer.
2)-Upgrade all cgi file /forum/* all .pm and .cgi and .htaccess, .js, ec(files only do not upgrade any folders here)
3)-Upload the folder "editor", this is a updated html editor.
7)-after you uploaded all the cgi files, you will find the new cgi file Upgrade05062011.cgi their, change its permissions
to 755 and go to your browser and call it like this:
http://www.yourdomain.com/forum/Upgrade05062011.cgi
call it once only and wait until it finishs completely.
This file will add the new sql tables, will modify the banners tables for bug found, and will move all
the users about me data from the folders to the sql table, please do not interrupt the script until it is finished.
8)-After you have finished the above upgrade, delete these folder no longer used:
aboutme
aboutme_data
admin
