Hello. Is there any functionality or addons that I can use that would allow me to export all of my auction items to a excel file or txt file? Thanks for you time.\ \ Ryan

I saw another post here about wanting CSV files.\ \ Out of curiosity, (keeping in mind that I personally don't use Excel or keep auction results in that way)I was wondering what uses would be for output in this fashion?\ \ I guess what I mean is, what would you do with them?

I have my own person auctions that I list on my site that I would like to list on other sites. Those sites have an import feature that allows you to import data directly. This would save me time in having to create the listing all over again.\ \ Ryan

Thanks for the reply!\ \ Would the other sites need the exact same fields on their import that you had exported from your site? Or would the other sites ignore the fields that do not match?

The ones that wouldn't match, I would just manually remove. That could be done very easily in Excel.

Or possibly create the output depending on the site you would be using it at.\ \ Thanks for explaining how it could be used.

Exactly. So does anyone out there know of a way to export auction data or does anyone have information on the DB tables structure so I could run queries to retrieve this data? Any help would be great. Thanks!\ \ Ryan

Long story on my reason for wanting a CSV file. My auctions will be fundraisers, and I was hoping to have the beneficiary collect the money, rather than collecting it myself and then passing it along. A CSV file would have allowed the beneficiary to keep track of who had paid them and who didn't. I've since changed the way I'm collecting auction payments (thus all the work on that stupid letter!), and I don't need the CSV file now.

But I'm getting a pretty good handle on this software, and if I ever figure out a way to collect data from auctions, I'll pass it along here.

Hi All,

Of course this can be done, or we can do a general exporter that you can format the output as you like based of a template that you setup for each item. Two issues should be considered, 1)-Will you willing to pay for this project as custom work?. 2)-Considering this will be online in the admin center, if you have a busy (lots of items) auction site (or classifieds of course), this process may take a long time and may causes browser to time out without completing unless of course this process is segmented some how. The other solution is offline windows desktop application that can import items and work on them as needed of course there will be a server side script for communcation.
