*)-Do the new fresh install on the new server (Do not touch the old server in anyway).

*)-Backup your current sql database on the old server from admin->database & SQL manager -> "Backup SQL Database Into Text Files"

*)-Transfer all the data directory and all its sub directories and files from the old server to the new server.

*)-Edit the file data/SysConfig.pm on the new server with any text editor like notepad, edit the cgi-bin directory and url and the html directory and url topoint to the new server.

call your admin.cgi on the new server then ->database & sql manager -> "Restore SQL Database From The Text Files Backup" , this loads your database to the new server.

You are done.

Thanks for this.
Just one more question :

All files must be transfered in binary or ascii ?

Is it possible to check the website working with the temporary url, before the domain points on new hosting ?

Thanks,

All files under the data directory must be transferred in ASCII mode.

Forgot to tell you also, you need to transfer the "auctions" directory to the new server as it has all the images and uploaded files.

You can Yes use the tmeporary url until the DNS changes.

If you want we can do the transfer for you  for $75 only as a custom work.

We are OK for the $75 transfer.
But how can we pay for it, and what do you need ?
FTP access to old and new servers are ok ?

Thanks,

To place order, go to our order page, pace order for custom work (set quantity to 15 so totals 15*$5=$75)

We will need your old FTP info, old admin.cgi url and login, your new FTP and control panel info
