Can you pl explain how does the dutch auction feature works. How do you enable it. pl kindly explain.

You do not need to do anything, once the user inputs the quantity greater than one, it is automatically classified as dutch auction.

The default setting does not show quantity field in sell form and it automatically shows : 1

What changes are required in which class n template files to make it show quantity field on sell/edit and view item / bidding etc.

It seems you edited the categories and checked the button "Domain", this will hide the quantity form and show 1 if you want to mark the category as domain name category so users do not have to enter values.
admin->category manager-> edit category for each category.
