Could someone be so kind and give me a hand. I just did a OS reload and now im having problems with the GD module. I already installed m 2 times with exit all modules, even on this one. But now im getting lost, i dont now what i do wrong. I read the FAQ over and over again and get more and more confused. I have installed already:\ jpeg-6b\ libpng-1.2.8\ zlib-1.2.3\ \ and gd-2.0.33\ and when i run and install the gd-2.0.33 it says it has support for GIF, PNG and JPG, since already configured alreayd fine. So far everything is far but now i have on install the GD. Now i get confused and i dont remember how i did the last time. On the FAQ it says after installing gd-2.0.3\ then reinstall the latest GD perl module using cpan:\ perl -MCPAN -e shell\ CPAN>install GD\ \ or you can download a compatible compiled version see the GD homepage:\ \ http://www.boutell.com/gd/\ \ and the cpan.org GD module page:\ \ http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/GD\ \ Well the url it points "http://www.boutell.com/gd/" its what already installed the gd-2.0.3 and its not the same as the the GD from "http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/GD"\ \ So, i download the GD from "http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/GD" wich requires the gd-2.0.3 wich is already ok or i run the CPAN like the FAQ says. Now here is the problem, the CPAN says i already have and updated GD 2.30 so i cant install it from CPAN. Manually it doesnt matter wich version GD 2.30 or the one that use to work for me the 2.19 it doesnt complaint. I run:\ perl Makefile.PL\ make\ make install\ \ But the on when i run the testserver.cgi it says GD is not installed. Also when i run the GD test tool it gives errors like this:\ Error loading perl module GD\ /home/httpd/vhosts/websitedomain.com/cgi-bin/gd_test . /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.0 .\ \ What did i do wrong? Im downloading the wrong GD module, could someone post the direct URL for the GD module required for Red Hat ES 7.3?\ \ JPG, GIF and PNG module are installed ok. Also the the gd module from boutell.com is also installed. Why are there diferrent version for the GD and from different websites. I think there really should be a step by step and good explanation because since i bought the Auction software all is perfect except i always get a headache when i have to move from server, I really hate the GD now, its always so problematic to install and i see so many script actually require it.

you may need to reinstall the Perl GD module,

http://cpan.uwinnipeg.ca/dist/GD

download, unzip, install:

perl Makefile.PL
make
make install

Some servers comes with older versions of GD with also older versions or Perl, you may have more than one Perl version, you can know which perl version by issuing:

%perl -v

also from the prompt try to issue:

%perl -e "user GD;"

it will display the error message if perl GD is not installed and working complete.
