Image not showing up on home page featured auctions

I noticed once an item is listed for sale on the home page featured auctions with no image uploaded, when the seller clicks on edit for that item and uploads a picture, after editing the featured auctions on the home page, it only shows an "x" and the image is not there. I looked at the source code, for the image that is missing it says "<IMG SRC="http://www.uflea.com/auctions/upload/http:" width="75" HEIGHT="55" border="1" ALT=""></a>"

If an image is uploaded at the creation of the auction listing and a file is uploaded and the featured auctions is selected the source code shows normal "http://www.uflea.com/auctions/featured/1106692209.jpg" width="75" HEIGHT="55" border="1" ALT="">

Is there a way to prevent the "x" no image from showing up after editing? Or a way to make it show up after editing? Or to eliminate the upload image option in the edit section after a listing is created?

are you using the latest version? you should upgrade to the latest version. second, make sure your gif2png file is executable 755 and transfered in binary mode.

Hi Ahmed,

I am using the latest download 6.5, gif2png is set to 755.

The same problem occured on your mewsoft online demo, I signed up as the user megamall and listed an item as a featured auction without uploading a photo with it. Then I went back to edit the listing and uploaded a photo. After the edit, on the home page it showed up as an "x" and the source code for the image was "<IMG SRC="http://mewsoft.com/nas/upload/http:" width="75" HEIGHT="55" border="1" ALT=""> the same as on my site as I stated in my last post.

I did a search and found a similar post on this subject which had no resolve to the matter:

If user sell an item and set it to be homepage featured then it's works correct(the picture display at homepage).
If user edit an item and set it to be homepage featured then it isn't works
correct(an X picture dispaly at homepage).
I don't know why?
May be some files damaged, and i should restore them but which files are involved with this problem?

Now I figured out how to make the missing image show up manually, it appeared to be missing from the "/auctions/featured/ " folder, so I uploaded the picture to that folder and then the image appeared. The same file was present in the "/auctions/featured1" folder already, so maybe there is a problem with the upload file command from the "/ManageItem.cgi?action=EditItem" page?? Or whatever tells the files where to be placed.

Any thoughts on this???
