New sign up's are going to Pending account with auto signup enabled.
Please advise. They don't get the email.

If you set the admin->General options ->

Auto approve new users:

to "NO", then the user should receive the confirmation email and his account will stay in the pending accounts until he confirm the registration.

Check your mail system, try to send the Contact us page and see if it is working, if not confi it in admin->configuration and set its status to "ON".
