Hi. Auction site is up & running ~ Many thanks to Mike big grin .
I placed a test auction and the picture is not showing up in the thumbnail or ad.

Would anyone know why?

Make sure you HTML URL is set correct in your admin->configuration. Also make sure the directory auctions/upload and all other sub directories under the auctions directory exists and writables. Please also post the URL for an Auction here to check.

I paid to have the auction program installed for me.
All I am getting for a picture on the auction is an X.

Okay. I've fixed the pictures not showing up in the ad. :lol:

But now they're still not showing up in the featured area on the homepage:

Any suggestions anyone?

Hi Kit,

FTP and check to see if you have the image in the public_html/featured directory. If you see the corresponding image # (it should be there) then you need to set the permissions to the folder to (CHMOD 777).

I know your directories were created so if you have a problem doing this I can login to your server and fix it for you.

I had the same issue with the featured item not showing up at first. I did a little more to get it working though, so if it doesn't work for you just let me know.

I also noticed that your logos and christmas gifs, jpg's are not showing up as well.

You need to go into the files where you entered the code and replace the following;

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Catherine/Desktop/Heavenly%20Auctions%20Logos/HeavenlyAuctionsLogo3.jpg

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Catherine/Desktop/Kitten/flashtree.gif

With this:
EX:
http://www.heavenlyauctions.com/images/HeavenlyAuctionsLogo3.jpg
http://www.heavenlyauctions.com/images/flashtree.gif

You need to put your logos in the images folder in public_html

Okay. I did all that. Do my Christmas gifs & logo show up now? I didn't even know that they were not showing up. They show on the site on my computer.

The christmas tree one works now but this one doesn' yet.

This jpg and text were inserted in one of your pages in the editor but I don't quite know which one.

The reason you see them on your computer of course is because the files are in the funky path you have there. But to see them on the net you need to put the correct URL in the file and the images in your images folder.

Doh! edit your listing HTML, I didn't pick up on that t'ill now. I thought you edited a page in your COnfiguration editor.
