I am new to this forum and feel very good about all these postings. Actually I bought my software quite some time ago. but had some problems and decided to give up. Now, after seeing this forum I got excited and decided to give it a shot again.

So I would like someone to please check my site and tell me if I am ok to bring this into production.. And please let me know waht changes I need to make.

Just had a look at your site and I think it looks pretty darn good. Very easy to get around. What did you have to do to get the Stock Quote and Currency converter working. I keep getting a software error when I try mine. Just getting started on the set up of the site.

I wish I had mine at the level yours is, I think your ready to open the doors and let the public know your open for business.

Please make sure you installed the latest version from our site since it has the latest updates since you said you bought the software long time.

What type of errors, error message?, make sure you changed the first line in the scripts to your perl path, set the permissions and have the required perl modules installed. Call the testserver.cgi from your browser to see perl modules required.

The error I get is this

Software error:

BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at Finance.cgi line 113.


When I had Version 5.0 several years ago that Stocks and Currency conversion worked OK. Also when I had 5.0 set up it had a pre-loaded set of Catagories which I don't seem to have with the version I just downloaded with the automatic installer.

Is this something I can fix or are there moduals the server techs have to install?

Ask your hosting company to install these Perl modules:

Finance::Quote
Finance::QuoteHist

OK thanks, I'll ask them to do that shortly. For now I just commented them out while I get other stuff set up.....

Well I guess you have your answers from mewsoft. Yes, install those perl mods and you should be fine; at least for that problem.
And, Ahmed I have installed the new version. Thank you for your info though. Hey, since I paid lot more for my software back then than what you are selling it for now. So, do I get multiple licences? Also, would you please take a look at my site and let me know if I am ready to go in production or not.
