When a person is viewing an item on my auction site & they click on the "Me" button of the seller, the sellers name is in the welcome area!

How do I fix this??

Ahmed,

I have checked the sites using your software. EVERYONE who has created an about me page is having the problem.

When you visit a site and look at a listing, when you click on the "About Me" if someone has created an about me section, you see the seller's real name in the Welcome Area.

Please fix this asap. It is not good for anyone to know an other user's name.

Yes just need to remove the <!--CLASS::Welcome_Area--> class from the about me template editor.

I removed the welcome class in the templete editor & the sellers names are still showing up.

Anything else to solve this problem?

That's strange because I do not have that problem with the About Me Pages on my site.

If I look at the users About Me page it only says Welcome at the top.

If I look at my own About Me page then yes it has Welcome Thomas Sherman at the top.

Are you looking at a users page or are you looking at a user that you created and have a cookie for on your home or office computer.

I have just redone everything and have only one user who has posted an auction and created an About Me Page... Check it out for your self. Maybe I'm not looking at the right thing.

Darn it I take that back. One users about Me page says Welcom and the new user who just logged on has an about me page with Welcomew and their name on it.

Strange....

What happens is when the "User" makes a "About Me" page, if the tag <!--CLASS::Welcome_Area--> is in the AboutMe.html, then it writes that tag/class <!--CLASS::Welcome_Area--> to the index.html file in that users "About Me" dir.

The only way to avoid that is to remove that tag, and the only way to change existing users Me pages is to either edit them yourself, or ask the user to edit the page themselves.

Taking that tag "<!--CLASS::Welcome_Area-->" out of the AboutMe.html does not change what has been written to the "index.html" in that users folder. So you'll have to ask them to edit it, or edit it yourself.

Thank you just! It worked perfectly. I went in and edited all of the users about me pages myself. I just added a space at the end of each users information.
