Ahmed I tried all versions of libpng and get the same messages as below;
Running pngtest statically linked with libpng.a:
./pngtest-static Testing libpng version 1.2.7 with zlib version 1.2.2
libpng version 1.2.7 - September 12, 2004 Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Glenn Randers-Pehrson Copyright (c) 1996-1997 Andreas Dilger Copyright (c) 1995-1996 Guy Eric Schalnat, Group 42, Inc. library (10207): libpng version 1.2.7 - September 12, 2004 (header) pngtest (10207): libpng version 1.2.7 - September 12, 2004 (header) png_sizeof(png_struct)=712, png_sizeof(png_info)=288 Testing pngtest.png: Pass 0: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw Pass 1: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw Pass 2: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw Pass 3: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw Pass 4: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw Pass 5: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw rwrwrwrw Pass 6: rwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrwrw rwrwrwrwrw PASS (9782 zero samples) Filter 0 was used 21 times Filter 1 was used 15 times Filter 2 was used 52 times Filter 3 was used 10 times Filter 4 was used 33 times tIME = 7 Jun 1996 17:58:08 +0000 libpng passes test [root@localhost libpng-1.2.7-config]#
If this test passes does it not mean that it is compatible with libgd? If not what would be the proper make test for finding out what libpng.so works with libgd.so.
Thanks

Mike I know it's frustrating when you can't get a program to run no matter what you do. Been there done that several times but once I moved the programs to a different host everything worked out OK.
I use this one at http://www.nomonthlyfees.com and have never had a problem with them. In my four years with them the only problems I have had with them were resolved by their techs in less than a day except for two serious storms knocking the servers down but that was beyond their control.
Only complaint I have is if you want a module added to the server such as the finance ones to run the stock report and credit conversion there is an additional fee for the techs to do that. Hey it's only $25.00 but right now I'm in Stingy Mode.... ops: |
